We know your files are very important to you, and we want to make sure you are able to save your data before you turn your attention to bigger and better things. What Happens to My Account?

Your ¹Ï×ÓTV account will remain open for at least a year after graduation. You will then receive an email from ITS notifying you of your upcoming account deactivation. Once the email account closes, your access to ¹Ï×ÓTV applications that use this account will be unavailable (e.g., Google, Moodle, My¹Ï×ÓTV). Your ¹Ï×ÓTV account data will be deleted one year from the date of account closure.

Forward your email

You'll keep access to your ¹Ï×ÓTV Gmail account address, but not your mailbox where the mail is stored, after you graduate. To email forwarding, use the Alumni Directory by registering an account on the .

If you have used your ¹Ï×ÓTV account to sign up for personal services online (Netflix, Doordash, etc.), please be sure to change the associated login to a personal (non-¹Ï×ÓTV) account. Also set up email forwarding for password recovery purposes.

Transfer your Google Data

Use to transfer your Drive and existing email messages to another Gmail account. Whenever the instructions ask you to enter your current username, use your full ¹Ï×ÓTV email address (with "@oxy.edu"). 

Transfer anything you had saved on lab or library public computers

Please be aware that your network files (in G Drive) will no longer be available and they cannot be restored, so please be sure to download anything that you want to keep beforehand. You can transfer via a USB device while on campus, or to access your files from off-campus.

Alternatives to Accessing My¹Ï×ÓTV Resources (W-2s, Transcripts)

Once your account is closed you will no longer be able to access My¹Ï×ÓTV. 

For transcripts, use the Registrar's Parchment service.

For W-2 access, contact the Business Office

Accessing Handshake

The Hameetman Career Center (HCC) provides access to Handshake for three (3) years upon graduation using your account. Your access will NOT be affected by your account closure. To update your primary email address in Handshake, please review the instructions provided If you encounter any difficulties accessing Handshake, please contact the HCC at careers@oxy.edu.
