Steven P. Erie is a professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of California San Diego
His research interests include urban politics, public policy, ethnic/racial politics, and American political development. He has authored four highly acclaimed books including "Globalizing L.A.: Trade, Infrastructure, and Regional Development" which has won book awards from several renowned institutions.
